Since 2023, we have been the first and only school in Bogotá to offer all four IB programmes: the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP).
Asociación Andina de Colegios De Bachillerato Internacional (AACBI)

Being a member of AACBI offers The English School significant benefits for its staff and students, such as access to seminars and complementary activities that enrich our educational environment. Furthermore, our students benefit from the numerous sporting and cultural events, both nationally and internationally, that AACBI organises with member schools, providing diverse opportunities that foster an environment for the exchange of ideas and innovative projects, thereby enhancing their academic and personal development.

Pioneers in Colombia in implementing the KiVa programme to prevent bullying.
Since the 2017-2018 academic year, as part of the Dignity and Mutual Respect programme, we have begun implementing KiVa, a programme promoting school harmony and preventing bullying with a high success rate. This programme was developed by the University of Turku in Finland and is implemented in 15 countries across Europe and Latin America; it was introduced to Colombia by The English School, in collaboration with the Escalae Institute.
KiVa’s protocols view bullying as a social phenomenon and recognise that in cases of bullying there are three key players: the victim, the bully and the bystanders. The programme focuses primarily on changing the attitudes and behaviour of bystanders so that they support the victim.
KiVa offers specific actions to tackle individual cases, but also includes universal measures aimed at all students in Primary through a cycle-based workshop. The aim is to influence group norms, teach students to behave constructively and encourage them to take responsibility for prevention and supporting victims.
Francophone School Seal
This is a recognition awarded by the French Embassy with the aim of supporting Colombian institutions that offer French as a foreign language and acknowledging their work at a diplomatic level.
At The English School, we received this recognition in 2023 thanks to the excellent work of our teachers in the French Department, who are tasked with teaching this third language from Grade 4 to Grade 11.
Partnerships
