Welcome to The English School
Welcome to
The English School
With over a decade of experience in Colombia, my time at this prestigious institution has been a journey of constant learning and commitment. My name is Adam Bennett and I am originally from England. Over the years, I have had the privilege of holding key roles that have allowed me to get to know our community in depth: from teaching Geography, Theory of Knowledge and Global Humanities, to serving as Coordinator of the Global Humanities Department and the Diploma Programme, culminating in my current position as Head of School-Rector.
This experience has given me a deep understanding of our school and a close bond with students and families, establishing me as a leader committed to the holistic development of every member of our educational community.
We share parents’ desire to give their children the best opportunities to succeed and, above all, to be happy
That is why we strive to provide our students with a safe, enriching school environment full of opportunities for academic, sporting, artistic and social-emotional development. Initiatives such as Dignity and Mutual Respect and KiVa, together with our Child Protection and Safety Policy, ensure a school environment based on respect and harmony. Furthermore, we recognise that every student learns at their own pace, which is why we have a strong learning support team to accompany them throughout their educational journey.
We encourage our students to make the most of their learning experience
Beyond the classroom, we aim to nurture well-rounded students; our programme includes over 50 extracurricular activities, clubs and sports teams, where students can explore their talents in areas such as art, music, drama and sport. Furthermore, our IB approach fosters curiosity, inquiry and a love of learning. Parents can have confidence in the IB programme we offer, which we have been delivering for over 43 years, ensuring robust, up-to-date and well-implemented programmes that have been refined and developed over the years.
We prepare them for a world without borders
Furthermore, as part of our international education programme, we offer students opportunities for exchange and personal development through the global Round Square network, broadening their global perspective and preparing them for a world without borders.
At The English School, we guide our students to discover their purpose, develop their talents and make a difference in society.
