Sports

An Essential Component of Comprehensive Education

Building character and a passion for sport

Physical activity and healthy competition are regarded as educational cornerstones that go beyond mere play, contributing to the physical, emotional and social development of every student. Through their participation in sport, students experience all-round development: physically, emotionally and socially.

Furthermore, our sports programmes strengthen vital skills such as time management, setting ambitious goals, inspirational leadership, a strong work ethic and exemplary sportsmanship. By promoting a healthy lifestyle, these values shape the character of our graduates, preparing them to achieve success in every aspect of their future.

Recreational dimension

Recreational dimension

a celebration of the intrinsic joy of sport and physical activity as a source of recreation and wholesome enjoyment.

Our training sessions are led by physical education professionals who specialise in school sport and the specific sport they teach. Through a holistic approach that encompasses physical, technical and tactical aspects, as well as core values, we aim to optimise each student’s development across all these areas, taking into account their age and stage of development:

Sport at every stage:

Años Iniciales

Early Years

sowing the seeds of the movement through introductory sessions to various sports as part of our extracurricular activities. At this stage, the primary focus is on having fun, fostering a passion for physical activity without the pressure of competition.

Primary

Primary

opening up a world of possibilities through our sports schools. We offer the chance to explore a wide range of physical activities, focusing on the basics of ‘mini-sports’ to identify talent and encourage versatility.

Secondary

Secondary

raising the bar with specialised sports training. We organise and rigorously prepare our teams to represent the school at various school events. These teams train all year round, fostering excellence and team spirit.

Our students in Primary and Secondary have the privilege of taking part in prestigious festivals and tournaments at the Bogotá level (UNCOLI and ASOCOLDEP) and at the national level (AACBI), testing their skills against other top schools.

We are proud to have been one of the founding schools of UNCOLI in the late 1960s and pioneers in the establishment of AACBI SPORTS at national level in 2020.
